I’m so excited for their new album. They sound so great…and it doesn’t hurt that Oliver Sim is a major hottie.
I love ‘strip teas’, ‘brew ha ha’, and ‘Mr. Tea’ :-)

Listening to the final BBC 1 Worldwide show from 3.29.2012 (via the Giant Step site). Apparently, BBC 1 wants to bring in younger DJs to attract their ‘key demographic’ of 15-29 year olds. I really don’t see the point of dumping GP’s Worldwide show. He was playing the hippest most relevant stuff on BBC 1 (James Blake, Mount Kimbie, SBTRKT, etc.)…and he was so classy and easygoing when he had guests on…plus his enormous depth of musical knowledge across so many genres/countries/decades, and his overall infectious enthusiasm for music I might otherwise never have found…made his show one of the best on the radio.
On the upside, as of this past Saturday, he started his new afternoon show (morning for me) on Radio 6. If only I could get the iPlayer to work on my computer…which has also been deemed “too old” by the technology on the BBC site…it would be perfect to listen to on Saturday morning with a cup of tea…of course ;-) I’m hoping the shows will at least go up on the Giant Step player.
Some reading for tomorrow morning.
