Heart in a Cage - Chris Thile 

 I think this is the second or third time I’ve posted some version of this song to my blog, but it’s so awesome, and this video is worth it just for the intro section - where the guy claps after the vocal and Chris is totally chill about it. 

 I’ve been picking out this song on guitar from the studio version, but I love what he does with this as a solo performance. I’ll have to see how much of this live version can transfer from his mandolin to my Telecaster. I kept running into range issues with the studio version…my guitar needs more notes. I also have no idea how to use The Amazing Slow Downer on a video (if it’s even possible…I’m sure in some convoluted way it is…) so let’s hope those ear training exercises worked ;-)
