Discovered this website today: Surus

 It makes it really easy to create a playlist of electronic music by label, artist, or some other categories. I’m hoping I can discover some new music through it. I’ve been listening to the same stuff since last summer. Right now I’m listening to everything that’s been released on Hemlock. The only downside is that it sounds like you only get about a minute of each song…still better than 30 second previews.

Air & Lack Thereof // James Blake


 Putting this on my blog for easy access. I’ve been listening to it constantly since I downloaded that Gilles Peterson Worldwide show (with JB) from 2010. I love his sense of rhythm on this. All the starting and stopping, dropping that heavy beat about a third of the way into the track…composing a funky, moody slowly building ostinato with samples and synths 8-)
