Sex and the City: An American Girl in Paris (Parts Une & Deux)
People like to heckle this show, but the scripts for these last two episodes are awesome. The song choices are great, and the clothes are gorgeous - of course. I’ll have to rewatch them this weekend.
Diana Vreeland: The Eye Has To Travel
This is on my movies to watch list. I really like the trailer for these reasons:
DV: “You can see the approaching revolution in clothes.” (I wish I could say something like this in that intonation - and have people take me seriously, haha.)
DV: “I wasn’t a fashion editor - I was the one and only fashion editor.” (I bet she was like this 24/7.)
DVF: “She saw things in people before they saw it themselves.”
“She would say, ‘Push their faults, make it the most beautiful thing about them’.”
@0:57 in the video - I love everything about the layout of the magazine - the fonts the colors, the emotional tone of the photos - perfect.
@1:16 - That picture of Paul McCartney…wowowow.
“You’re not supposed to give people what they want, you’re supposed to give them what they don’t know they want yet.”
and “There’s only one really good life and that’s the life that you know you want and you make it yourself.”
P.S. Please ignore Manolo Blahnik having a crazy turrets moment at the end of the video…:-P

Kind of reminds me of the outfits for The Age of Adz tour.
I like those shelves in the back too. They would go well with the decor of the hotel-side lobby of The Intercontinental (Boston).
